Du hörst gerade "Paper Tigers" von "Thrice" aus dem Album "The Artist In The Ambulance" Good Riddance Anno 1986 sucht sich Russ Rankin ein Ventil für seine politische Frustration und gründet kurzerhand die Punk/Hardcore-Band Good Riddance. Dem Sprachrohr der Band schließen sich Luke Pabich (Gitarre), Chuck Platt (Bass) und Rich McDermott (Drums) an, und man beginnt mit der Veröffentlichung einiger Demotapes. 1990 wird "Gidget" bei Little Deputy Records veröffentlicht. Nach den Aufnahmen zu ihrer Debüt-EP "Aesthetic" verließ Reardon die Band. Während der Aufnahmen ihres ersten Full-Length Albums "Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Body Count" stieß der damals grade 16-jährige Sänger Sonny Moore zu ihnen. Die aus Los Angeles stammende Band stand zuerst bei Four Leaf Records und später bei Epitaph Records, wo sie die Alben "Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Body Count" und "Heroine" veröffentlichten, unter Vertrag. Seit März 2006 haben From First To Last einen Plattenvertrag mit Capitol Records.Bisher erschienen drei Veröffentlichungen, die EP "Aesthetic" und die Alben "Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Bodycount" und "Heroine". Stilistisch wird die Band oft den Genres Screamo und Emocore zugeordnet.Ihre Songs reichen von langsamen Balladen, wie "Emily", bis zu lauten, rockigen Songs wie "Failure By Designer Jeans". Am 24. März 2006 erschien das zweite Album "Heroine", das von Ross Robinson produziert wurde. Auf diesem Album wurde der Bass von Wes Borland gespielt. Während der Tour gegen Ende 2005 wurde der Bass von Alicia Simmons (Verlobte des Bassisten Mikey Way von My Chemical Romance) gespielt. !!! But Face Away in those days sounded much different then it is today, it used to be like a mixture between old-school HC and punk rock. In 2005 we decided to make a change, we got a second guitar-player named Falko and our sound changed into a style which we would describe as straight, mosh-influenced “In your face Hardcore”, or just DTHC! The lyrics and the message stayed the same, it talks in general about being true to yourself (sometimes you have to blame yourself to get it), being proud of what you got, make your own decisions and choose “the hard way”! In June 2006 we recorded the 4-song-demo “King of my Own” by ourselves, after that Felix left the band and we got Sebastian as our new bass-player. So after we played many shows in our area, we hit the studio for the first time in May 2007 to record 4 songs in a much better quality than the old stuff. Downset Founded in Los Angeles in the late 80's as part of the thriving hardcore scene, downset has evolved into an icon of sorts. As the original blenders of rap, funk, hardcore, punk, metal, and socially aware lyrics, they drew influences from Black Flag to Black Sabbath, Public Enemy to Bob Marley. Becoming a huge draw, the industry took notice and they caught the attention of Mercury/PolyGram Records and released their self titled debut in 1994.
